Official Ranking Method Method: Johnson Brothers (described below) This is the ranking method I will use to determine Tournament of Champions participants. These standings seem to me to accurately reflect excellence over time and reward those who, subjectively, pretty consistantly seem to be kicking our asses. NOTE: TOC qualififcation requires at least two tourneys played. Explanation --------- A player's score for a tournament consists of 2 components: 1. Player gets 1 point for each dollar of revenue, and 2. Player gets 10 points for each higher place in a tournament. Overall score is a total of all tournament scores. Examples -------- Elvis finishes 10th in a 20 player tournament earns $10. Elvis receives 120 points: . 10 points for earning $10 in revenue, plus . 110 points for his finish ((20 - 10 + 1) * 10).
